Im considering amputating a finger to continue play aussie rules football. is it worth it?!
Question: Im considering amputating a finger to continue play aussie rules football. is it worth it.?
i know that im only 17, but i badly broke my left-ring finger about a year ago, and ever since then it had been continuously dislocating. ive been to doctors many times - and their advice is to give up football unless i want to continue dislocating the finger. i am deeply passionate about playing aussie rules - i hold hope of being drafted to an AFL club at the end of next year, and i dont want to let anything get in the way of my ambition. i am seriously considering having my finger chopped off at the first joint so i can continue playing footy. i know many of you will say im stupid, but im so passionate about AFL - i would be willing to part with a finger to keep my dream alive. what i want to know is, is it worth having it amputated.? i know of a couple of AFL footballers in the past who have done the same thing - daniel chick, brett backwell, and gone on to win premierships, so it can be worth it.
