If I got like 5 hours of sleep every night and then last night I got 9 hours of sleep, does that mean I'm well rested.?

Because like if for 4 days you get like 5 or 6 hours of sleep and then the day after you get 9 hours. Does that mean you're well-rested, or do you need to make up for the sleep you didn't get the nights before.?

I'm 14 by the way! I've always wondered.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Chronic sleep deprivation causes health problems and weight gain. Getting fewer than 7 hours on a regular basis raises your hormone level of cortisol, and that causes problems with your blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight gain.
So it is okay to get like 5 hours now and then, but if you do it all the time you will become unhealthy and overweight.
You can "catch up" some, but it is best to have regular hours for your body.Health Question & Answer
