Question: Is it puss or something.?
i have a bump right above my crack(for lack of a better word). we thought i had bruised my coccyx since i told my mom i had trouble sitting and laying on my back. recently i have looked in the mirror (as well as applying pressure to my actual tailbone) and came to the conclusion that it is something else. i have no idea what it is. later, i wiped the area (right at the top of my crack) and this brown-redish fluid came out and it smelled horrible. it smelled similar to feces but not quite. i kept wiping and it kept coming. i took a shower and tried to wash most of it out but it still is oozing out. i am seeing the doctor tomorrow morning but if someone could help me until then, that would be awesome!Health Question & Answer

I'm sorry to hear about your health problem. So the first thing that comes to mind is perhaps you have a boil in this area.? Which if this is true the doctor will have to prescribe and antibiotic and perhaps lance it. Another thing that comes to mind is sometimes when people are born they have a small little "dimple" like almost like a deep hole right above their "crack" I know this for a fact because my oldest son was born with one. The doctors had always told me to keep it clean (when he was a little baby) Now my Mom's friend also had this and but hers was much deeper than my son's and sometimes would get infected. Which would result in being sore and puss coming out. I don't know if this helped but I hope it did. I do hope you will feel better. To relieve the pain I would suggest some Motrin and perhaps moist warm compress in the area. Good luckHealth Question & Answer
There are actually two things that may be happening, what I feel like you are describing is a condition sometimes caused by a hair that has ingrown causing a tract to form, Since it is draining they may just tell you to use heat , sitz baths and let it drain. If he tract is deep you made need to have it opened by a surgeon to promote adequate drainage. If this is the first time you have had this they probably will not recommend any type of surgery and if you are real hairy at that part of your anatomy they may recommend that you you nair or some type of hair removal product.
