Air flowing through my ear.... please help!!?!

Question: Air flowing through my ear.... please help!!.?
I know this isn't that common cause I can't find any information about it after quite a few searches, but I have had this happening for about 10 years. I can literally feel the air coming in and out of my ear when I breathe. It does it on both ears, but randomly and not both at the same time. I've had people put their ear to mine and they can even hear the air coming out, so I know its not just me being crazy. Its not painful, but its really annoying! I think I know what cause it to start happening, I was about 15 and jumped off of a high diving board into the water head first and both of my ears popped really loud and it was really painful. Still if I'm not careful and get water in my ears, it hurts just as bad as it did that day. I can't afford medical care and have no type of insurance so any other suggestions would be really helpful... please help!!!Health Question & Answer

By the history & symptoms you describe I would be fairly certain that you have perforated ( burst) your eardrums on both sides.
You probably did it when you had the diving incident & they have healed up but with holes remaining in your eardrums, this would be painful when you get water in them & you would have repeated infections.
It's actually more common than you realise especially in children.

What happens when you hold your nose & then blow .?
Do you hear a pop or does the air come out of your ear .?
If it comes out of your ear then you definitely have an old unhealed perforation or 'ruptured ' drum.

BUT: The major thing you'd notice is loss of hearing, you would be finding it hard to hear conversation, TV etc.
Do you need to ask people to repeat themselves all the time .?
Do you turn the TV or radio up higher than other people in your household .?

There is NO solution other than to seek medical help, this will only get worse if left untreated.
If you don't have a hearing loss now you will develop one plus you are at risk of a very serious infection some time in the future (this can result in meningitis).

Sorry...................all bad news.
You need help.

In the meantime avoid water in your ears at all costs even when washing your hair (wear good fitting ear plugs).
You must see a Dr if there is any discharge (pus or fluid) coming from your ears at anytime.
