No, Vicodin is by far a better pain reliever and stronger opiate. Vicodin will give you more of a buzz than Darvocet. Darvocet is a weaker narcotic and from my experience taking it, it does not give me much of a buzz, however, vicodin does give me a very strong very noticeable buzz.
Vicoden is stronger than Darvocet. Propoxyphene (Darvocet) will make some people more nauseated and can actually give you heart palpitations. Hydrocodone (Vicoden) is closer chemically to a true opiate and is more effective with pain control. It's more addictive than Darvocet but for short term pain control, I personally would prefer the Vicoden because it also has a longer duration of pain relief.Health Question & Answer
