I Think I Have Bad Hearing?!

Question: I Think I Have Bad Hearing.?
Basically, I have never had problems with hearing until recent months of this year. I can hear people very well normally, but whenever there is even a small amount of noise in the background I find it very hard to hear people speak. I have checked my ears for earwax and I am pretty sure it isn't that. When I am at work it is quite noisy and even though other people can hear normally, I find it hard to understand sometimes. Same with when I talk on Xbox Live, I can't hear through my headset very well when I have the game's sounds through the speakers. I just find it strange that I can hear just as well as other people with no background noise, but when noise is present im almost deaf when others aren't :/

I can hear individual sound fine I would say, but when it comes to having noise in the background Its difficult to hear :(

Should I see a doctor about this.? Or is there other things it could be.?

Could all of those hours of listening to my iPod on full volume have ruined my hearing :(Health Question & Answer

I would go and see your doctor and explain this. Do you get a hissing or ringing sound in your ears.?
you wont know if you have excessive wax as it can be deep into your ear canal. DONT poke cotton buds into your ears, it can damage the eardrum and just push wax in further.
A simple hearing test should determine if your hearing is less than normal but dont worry too muchHealth Question & Answer

.?In short yes it may have most doctor say that around 15 min's of listening to loud music on earphones @ full blast willdamagese your eardrums in a very short time!

If you r in the UK go along to Lloyds pharmacy they can give you a free hearing test and tell you for shaw!Health Question & Answer

i would go and get a hearing test at specsavers-its free and you dont have to book an appointment, it would be that you need your ears sringing(all the wax removed) or that it has been too much loud music

good luck
