My bruise turn black now?!?!
Question: My bruise turn black now.?!.?
Help..!! ok first... the bruise was red and blue and purple.. than... it got more of dark'sh purple.. than now it's like DARK'sh purple.. more dark than usually. Shouldn't get better.?!! It doesn't hurt but... will the bruise go away.? Health Question & Answer

You could try alternating hot and cold packs for the bruise. The heat will (hopefully) cause the blood clot (bruise) to dissipate. The cold will stop it from getting worse. I would do the alternating every hour for 15 minutes. In other words, this hour use heat for 15 minutes then next hour use cold for 15 minutes.Health Question & Answer
The same thing happened to my bruise on my thumb nail that got stuck in the car door! It was red, blue, and a little purple, then purple and dark brown, then it went black. It doesn't hurt but it has been like 3 or 4 weeks and has not gone away.Health Question & Answer
