Warmth can help, like a hot water bottle on to ease the pain, also laying on your stomach, but a lot really depends upon the cause of the pains.

you probably won't believe this, in fact i'll probably get a bunch of thumbs down for it but f*ck it, the best medicine i've found for stomach aches is to smoke some cannabis. it does in fact help suppress pain and it's natural, not like all those pills doctors prescribe. so give me low marks if you want, but it works.
