Question: Really bad pains in my hipp.?
Okay, so yesterday my hip was REALLY soree, & it's just gotten worse as i've walked on it for the passed to days. like when i put pressure on my body, like coughing and stuff makes my whole body hurt. It seriously feels like it's broken. I told my mom , and she said she can't do anything about it right now. and i told me dad, and he said i'm just looking for excuses to stay out of school. Because i also have strep throat.. and i'm still going to school btw. i'm just in HORRIBLE pains. like i can barley walk. this just isn't right, i feel like i should be on crutches or something. any idea's of what this could bee.?Health Question & Answer

Strep infections can cause hip pain, which is part of rheumatic fever. I don't know if you have any other symptoms or if you've had antibiotics for your strep, but you should see a doctor, because rheumatic fever can have other serious consequences for your heart, and sometimes requires long term antibiotics. It's especially common in kids and teens (you said you're in school). At least have one of your parents give the pediatrician a call if you can. Take care.Health Question & Answer
