Ingrown toenail...help??!
Question: Ingrown toenail...help.?.?
Hi, I no someone that has an ingrown toenail, and it is very painfull... they have had the nail cut 2 times by doctors and have cut it there self and also someone else cut it but it just keep growing in the same... they have to go and get the nail removed now and they dont want to...
is there anything that can be done, anyone got any suggestions on wat to do..
also has anyone had this before and wat did you do.?
also the toe is sweled up and infected but when he goes to the doctor they just spray stuff on it that doesnt help..

i had an in growing toe nail for about 2 years, i kept on playing football when i shudnt have done, they should not cut it themselves, get a chiropodist to see it, iodine is the best for infections it looks a brown liquid and really does sooth it, I had to have half of my nail removed in the end, had local anesthetic and it was done in 20 mins, best thing to have done, the pain went instantly.Health Question & Answer
Ive had it twice, and it is sooooo freaking painful, I never knew that an ingrown toenail hurt that bad. And i realized that everytime it hurt that bad i would squeeze the puss out even if it hurt, i would suck up the pain and when it was all out i would instantly feel some relieve and from there on it would start to get better. i had that i have 2 put cotton wool only a little bit of it under my toenail it hurts alot but it gets better ,also you need to see a doctor and they get rid of the nail it hurts but its worth it, you can have the nail removed but cant you out a fake one instead it will be much better and less painfull :)Health Question & Answer
go see a podiatrist!
i did nearly 20 yrs ago. i had surgery on both big toes after yrs of suffering with this problem. the doc cut both sides of nails and put some type of acid in nailbed. this killed the nerves so that no nail can grow there. what a reliefe! no ingrowns in nearly 20 yrs!!!!!
i know the pain, it sucks.
