Aching Muscles and bones?!

Question: Aching Muscles and bones.?
I've just had intermediate/Junior athletics and I push my self as hard as i could and did really well, unfortunately i think i pushed my self a bit to hard and now i have sore knees, thighs, calves, hips, guts and a headache i have also have been coughing a little bit is any/all of this normal and if so is there any thing i can do to stop/prevent it.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Yes its normal - especially when you just start a new activity. You made all kinds of microscopic tears in your muscle tissue and now they have to heal and when they grow back together they are stronger... for the pain use advil/ibuprofen. It helps take away the little bit of swelling you can't see. Get some rest and stretch well before you next exercises. It will go away in a few days and if you keep at it you'll be in better shape. Good luck!Health Question & Answer

try soaking in a nice hot tub with some epsom salts, it will work wonders on your sore joints. and then take some Ibuprofen or Advil. that has pain medicine plus an anti inflamitory, then just give yourself some time to heal.Health Question & Answer

Yeah it's normal, I felt the exact same way when I first tried out for football in middle school. Just stretch before you start exercising againHealth Question & Answer
