On Halloween night, a stabbing occurred. (a close friend)
On the right side, into the lung.
Blood-loss, difficulty breathing.
Alcohol and THC was in the blood, though I don't know if doctors found out yet.
How long do you think he'll be in the hospital.?

The stabbing could be serious depending on if it did any permanant damage to the lung. First the internal bleeding needs to be stopped, then the lung needs to be closed, and hopefully the friend doesn't get an infection. If it was serious enough to permanantly damage him or if he wants to anyways, he can sue the person that stabbed him for a couple of things, but the alcohol and other drugs in his system may be a problem. If he was drunk, or high, and depending on who started the argument, different situations could take place. He may be in the hospital anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks depending on the wound and future problems. Hope this helpsHealth Question & Answer
I'm guessing it's pretty serious, as internal organs are involved. However, if I am not mistaking, lung tissue can grow back and/or be re-attached, so your friend should get better. They probably know alcohol was involved, but this has barely anything to do with recovery time.Health Question & Answer
