it depends on you.. if you take care of it it will heal fast... drink a lot of milk and get a proper diet.. no soda no junk food so the muscle can rebuild.... could take up to a month to fully recover... also you can do some physical therapy at home this will help it get better faster... i have done this with my cousin who had a pulled hamstring and it healed up quick... so you will need to do a hot and cold water therapy.. first you sit in the bath with ice cold water, yes put ice in the tub of water making it ice cold... stay there for about 15 mins then right after drain the water and open and fill the tub with hot water... not boiling but as hot as your shower can produce... sit in there until your not numb anymore from the ice water... once that happens fill the tub again with ice you dont need to drain the hot water just add ice and get it to freezing again, sit in the ice water again for another 15mins or until you are numb again... then open the hot water again... do this hot and cold water 2 to 3 times a day each session consist of either 2 or 3 cold water and hot water... so 1 session you will do 2 cold water and 2 hot water or 3 of each...

ice it lot. You wont need an operation. BUT DONT STRETCH THE MUSCLE!!! you can start stretching it in about 3 weeks and do it very lightly. it will be repaired in about 6 weeksHealth Question & Answer
