Ugh. Well just looking at the picture you linked, I didn't see a high volume of blood. Remember, blood donors routinely give one pint and survive unharmed.

I've worked in the trauma bay quite a few times. As long as you're young, you can lose lots and lots of blood without dying. Young people are pretty resilient like that. I've seen people loose about 15% of their circulating blood volume and only minimally raise their heart rate to compensate. But yes, if you loose too much blood, you should pass out, and if you loose enough, you will die. But that wouldn't make for a good movie, now would it.?Health Question & Answer
