Question: Can The School Nurse Help Me.? and if so, What Would She Do.?
I'm 16. I can't put weight on my wrist of thumb, or I'll hurt more. If i move it, it hurts a lot. If I don't move it, it hurts. If I stretch it out, it has this pulling feeling or something.? and it hurts. It started hurting earlier today, but now it's really bugging me! I can't think of anything I would of done to make it this way!

Why Does My F*CKING Thumb To Wrist Hurt.?

How Can I Make It Not Hurt.?

it hurts to even move it to type, or press the button on my laptop! If i rest it on my laptop, it still hurts, PAINFULLY!

Okay, you must have done something like banged it against something or stretch/pulled it, but it doesn't matter, it hurts. You need to get some ice cubes and wrap in a dish towel and put it on your hand - keep doing that for 15-20 minutes every hour. Take some pain medicine - tylenol, motrin, advil. It sounds like you may have sprained it. The treatment would be to wrap it in an ace bandage, treat it with ice like I said, and don't use the hand, hold it up against you or put your arm in a sling to give it a rest. Go see the school nurse tomorrow and she can have a look at it and tell you what to do - make sure you see her first thing.Health Question & Answer

Go to the school nurse Maybe it is something easy that she can explain and help you with. If not, she will let you know what you need to do. If it is something more serious you may need to see your family doctor.

Till then, take some tylenol or some other painkiller.Health Question & Answer

If it feels better in the morning, don't worry about it.

If it doesn't...it sounds like you need a legit doctor.

I never go to the school nurse...everyone in there is sick and disgusting...germs everywhere...if you go in there you're bound to come home with something.Health Question & Answer
