Recovery time for a fractured T3 vertebrae.?!

Question: Recovery time for a fractured T3 vertebrae..?
I fractured my T3 vertebrae not last weekend but the weekend before, have not been doing a whole lot to let it rest. I'm an active person and not doing anything is getting really boring. When will i be able to go back to the gym and maybe workout muscles that don't depend on my back a whole lot.Health Question & Answer

I don't know how old you are, but there's also an adult spinal forum
http://www.scoliosis.org/forum/index.php i think.

Spine's take a lot of time to heal. And I wouldn't do anything to hurt your back even more. Trust me. I have ADD and I'm 19 years old and I had a spinal fusion that took the whole 3 months of summer to heal. And I was so bored!!! But seriously, listen to your doctor, because then your back will get worse and you'll have to rest for even longer and then be even more bored!!

I would say a couple of weeks for it to heal.. but just do some exercises at home before going to the gym. I'd call your doctor then talk to the trainer at the gym.

Good luck :)Health Question & Answer
