More EMT questions ?!

Question: More EMT questions .?
So... Im hoping to get into the EMT-B class in Jan..
I understand I need a physical.
Is there a certain weight you need to be under (or over) to pass the physical exam...or are they just checking to make sure you have a heart that works and no High BP and such.?

also, I keep reading/hearing about these agility tests.. do they do them during the class...or is that once you get hired into a EMS station that they give you that.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
-They are checking to see if your spine is ok, and that you don't have any major medical issues. No you don't have to be a certain weight. They do want to make sure you're not going to croak while in class though! It's more of a liability to them than anything.
-The agility tests are usually for where you get hired. Most are BS, and consist of making sure you can lift your share of 200lbs, and aren't going to drop dead by walking across the room. Again, liability.
Good luck!Health Question & Answer
