Question: Swollen Upper eyelid.?
Hi, I have a swollen upper eyelid, but i don't have pink eye or any other symptoms. Someone said it might be a ingrown eyelash.

Is it swollen in just one area.? Or is it the entire eyelid.? If it's one area, more likely it is a sty like Diane K said. Warm compresses work. If it's the entire lid, may be eye-strain. Do you read alot.? Since there's no pain, I doubt it's an in-grown lash-that'd hurt. Try the warm compresses for a few days. If there's no change, or it gets worse, time to see the Dr.

It could simply be that you've rubbed it. Has your eye been itching.? It takes very little irritation to cause the eyelid to swell. Cold compresses are the best for reducing the swelling.Health Question & Answer
take a washcloth and hold it under warm water, then ring it out and hold it against your eyelid. Hopefully this will help.Health Question & Answer
