What if you have a crick in your neck for over two weeks?!
Question: What if you have a crick in your neck for over two weeks.?
I got the flu shot 2 weeks ago, and a few days later I developed a crick in that side of my neck. Without high doses of ibuprofen, the pain is unmanageable, and I am not sure if this is a good reason to see my doctor. It seems like I'm always in there about something. When I received the flu shot, I was also having stitches removed. Before that, I was being seen about my recent visit to the ER which resulted in my diagnosis with Hyperventilation Syndrome. I'm admittedly a little over-concerned with my health, but my tolerance to pain is likely somewhat lower than most. I don't want to be perceived as a drug-seeker, and neither do I insist upon being treated with pain-killers. When I call the doctor tomorrow, should I go ahead and schedule an appointment.? The nurse will offer at the notion of me having called.Health Question & Answer

Flu shots can affect people in some pretty adverse ways. Many people do have strange side effects from them. I would visit a chiropractor instead and see what he has to say. It may be nothing more than a misalignment that he can correct in a second.Health Question & Answer
I doubt the flu shot had anything to do with the crick in your neck unless it made your arm sore and you slept funny. Two weeks is a long time to have a crick in your neck. Is it getting any better.? I would schedule an appt. what's the worse to happen.? He tells you nothings wrong.? Better safe than sorry. Instead of a pain killer maybe a muscle relaxer. Being concerned with your health is not a bad thing as long as you don't go to extremes. Why are you so concerned.? Is something wrong.? Good luck and feel better soon.Health Question & Answer
It might be wise to have a thorough evaluation by your family Chiropractor.
