Serious knee pain in a teen?!

Question: Serious knee pain in a teen.?
So I am 15 years old and I am having some really bad knee pains i just can't win now a days with sports because i tore my calf over the summer and now my left knee is killing me. I noticed that before I even starting having knee pain whenever i bent that knee i would hear small popping/crackling noises and like weird noises coming from my knee. I'm really worried because I have track in a week and I need to be able to sprint but it hurts so bad i can't even run up my stairs, down the stairs, jump, or run at all. Please help me! i also unfortunately have gym tomarrow and we run a mile and sprint etc. so i kind of need some quick remedies or tips please it really hurts =/Health Question & Answer

You may have Osgood-Schlatter Disease. It is the inflamation of the tendons behind a persons knees. I had it. It is normally caused by rapid growth spurts, there is a very cheap knee strap that one can purchase that goes just beneath your knee-cap that pushes the tendon off of the bone, so that it doesnt hurt as much. This may be a possibility, so you may want your docotr to take a look into it, and if that is what it is, then i would highly suggest getting one of the leg straps, they really help.Health Question & Answer
