When you quit smoking do the affects go away?!

Question: When you quit smoking do the affects go away.?
I'm 20 years old, I've been smoking for about 7 months now, about a pack a day, I recently quit and I was wondering does the build up of tar or anything else resolve.? I'm a vocalist in a band and I've noticed it's been a lot harder to hit my high notes, and I also get short of breath doing it. Does anyone know if that kind of stuff goes away.?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.Health Question & Answer

from the day you stop smoking your lungs start to repair themselves. everyday you go without smoking you are more out of the risk of lung and heart disease. Good job, stick to it. the longer you smoke the harder it will be to walk away from it.Health Question & Answer
