Plantar Fasciitis, how do I gain relief?!

Question: Plantar Fasciitis, how do I gain relief.?
I have it horrible on my left foot. Sometimes I can barely walk. I've only had it a couple of months. I had a baby 8 weeks ago, and it was right before that, that I started having symptoms. I try to stretch my foot as often as possible, and I've gotten heel inserts for my tennis shoes. I take ibuprofen for it, but I need more relief. What do y'all suggest.? What has worked for you.? Thank you so much for answering.Health Question & Answer

This is one way of self massaging your foot to help break up the fasciitis; take a tennis ball and roll your foot over it, take the ibuprofen or naproxyn, and drink a lot of water after rolling your foot back and forth for about five minutes. You may not be able to stand to roll it for that long to start with; go at your own pace, but it will help to break up the tight fascia.Health Question & Answer

Plantar Fasciitis is a painful inflammatory condition causing heel pain and in some people, heel spurs. It can also result in arch pain. Plantar Fasciitis is typically caused by abnormal pronation of the foot. Contributing factors are obesity, weight gain, jobs that require a lot of walking or standing on hard surfaces, or worn shoes with little support.

Research has found that a combination of proper exercises and arch support by wearing orthotic insoles can provide effective relief for plantar fasciitis. Please note that in order to correct over-pronation, your insoles need to provide arch support, not heel cushioning.

An explanation of plantar fasciitis, as well as what orthotic insoles can do for your condition are explained at the links below.
