Have you ever went to a CHIROPRACTOR who refused to treat you due to the results of your x-rays?!
Question: Have you ever went to a CHIROPRACTOR who refused to treat you due to the results of your x-rays.?
Pain killers don't seem to be helping, so I thought I'd try seeing a chiropractor. When I crack my neck sometimes it helps me feel better, but I can't always get my neck to crack just right & sometimes if I don't do it right then I can't turn my head. The chiropractor took x-rays & then told me that because of those results he could not treat me, as he wouldn't want to make my condition worse. I was confused what the x-rays revealed, but he asked me if I have ever been injured or been in an accident. I told him I had been in an abusive relationship & have been hit, strangled & had my head slammed into a wall & had a concussion, but my ex wouldn't take me to the hospital because he didn't want to get in trouble.
I guess my bones didn't heal properly & my spine is crooked. I have friends that offer to crack my neck for me & I tell them if the chiropractor wouldn't do it, I'm not going to let just anybody do it.Now I'm scared to try to do it myself. I was wondering if maybe my neck problems were caused by my injuries & if so if I continue cracking my neck on my own will it just make it worse, even though it feels better temporarily.?
I have tried Tramadol, Darvon & Naproxen for the pain, but they don't seem to be helping & since the chiropractor won't treat me. What are my other options.?Health Question & Answer

Yes I sure have, but also understood why
I have given up on physio so now I just have a massage every 6 weeks.
It has been very helpful as I figured out I needed to keep the muscles surrounding the injury in good shape.
Im also on Tramadol and Capadex for severe painHealth Question & Answer

Go see a REAL doctor, an orthopedist, he will evaluate the x-rays, & decide what is the best for you.
Get the hell out of that relationship, ASAP. He will never change, & you don't need to be a punching bag for that loser!!!! Health Question & Answer

If he did not want to treat than that makes me think he is not good at what he does. You can always go to a different one for a second opinion. You should stop cracking your bones since this can also be making the issue worse.Health Question & Answer
Oh dear- I'm glad you escaped your ex! And I hope that what he did comes back to bite him right where he sits down!
I honestly can't offer any suggestions about the chiropractor, since I don't know what he saw. But you might try massage therapies. And since the chiropractor is concerned about worsening your injuries, you probably will want to see another physician.
Start with a GP for a basic check-up, and go from there.
