Question: If you have no money, does a Dr. still has to offer all he can do to help you.?
Since we live in a country where the health issues goes side to side with money, does a Dr. has to do everything he can do to save your life or help you get better even if the patient has no insurance and or money.?

Most doctors truly do care about their patients. Unfortunately it is very expensive to run a physician practice. In an emergency most doctors would do all they can to help you. also in an emergency, no hospital can refuse you care it is against EMTALA laws. Now, for elective routine care, there are many doctors who will not provide these services, just like McDonalds won't give you a hamburger if your hungry, just like you can't fill your gas tank without paying, or like the electric co. will cut the power if you don't pay. I am a surgeon and I pay approx. 65,000.00 dollars annually just for malpractice insurance. As a doctor it can be quite frustrating when we see people who "can not" pay their bill and yet all five family members have cell phones and a pack of cigarettes.Health Question & Answer
If you are in the US and you are sick with no insurance or money at this time, your best bet is to go to a hospital emergency room and by law should help someone who is ill and in need.
From personal experience in between jobs I had acute appendisitis and was seen by one place, transferred to another hospital and operated, and stayed in a private room for 8 days to recover. They even helped me with a non profit agency to help cover almost the full cost, which was extremely lucky on my part.
If you are sick, do not suffer it will just be worse for you, go to the ER of your city hospital.
