On the job injury with surgry done to my right hand, how do i go about filing a claim for pain and suffering?!
Question: On the job injury with surgry done to my right hand, how do i go about filing a claim for pain and suffering.?
Answers:
A lot depends on the cause of the injury. If you were screwing around and injured your hand, you can't really file a claim. If you can prove negligence on the behalf of your company, (an unsafe machine, a dull knife, etc...) then you can file a claim against them.
also, if you filed a claim under worker's comp, you have relinquished your right to sue. I would go to a lawyer and get advice. They can tell you what your legal rights are and help you understand why you can't file a claim, or can help you file the claim to get the maximum benefit.
