Question: Do you think i should get crutches.?( NOT FOR FUN ).?
i sprained my ankle and it hurts SO bad to walk on it. The doctor offered crutches but my mom said No. If i go back the doctor will definitely recommend crutches... would they hurt MORE than walking on my ankle.?.? ( I HAVE TO WALK A LOT IN SCHOOL )Health Question & Answer

What is your mom thinking.?.? Sprains only get worse if you walk on them before they are healed. Unless you have a very minor sprain, you will end up with a lot of pain and swelling if you walk around without crutches. You need to be on crutches. If your mom is worried about the cost some pharmacies will rent them. Osco drug stores and some Walgreens will have your Mom pay a $20 deposit and you can use the crutches as long as necessary. When they are returned your Mom will get her deposit back. You could also look around at Goodwill or Salvation Army. My local stores always have tons of crutches. Health Question & Answer
