Feeling really sick after dirt bike crash?!

Question: Feeling really sick after dirt bike crash.?
I flipped a crf 50 yesterday.
Got banged up pretty bad.
Not only is my body in extreme pain.
I feel really sick! My stomach hurts, I feel like I'm going to throw up and really hot and sweaty.

Why.?!
Could it be an over dose on amphetamine.?
I took three before I went to bed last night, 3 in the middle of the night, And 3 around noon.
And what helps relieve pain on extreme road rash, It's giving me the worst limp.

AND, I'm pretty sure I popped my knee out of place yesterday, And then I was moving it and it snapped and then felt better, Any ideas on what that was or what to do to prevent further injury.?

What do I do to feel better.?
I'm a wreck :-S

first of all the stomach pain is more than like due to the use of acetaminophen (which you referred to as amphetamine but i am assuming you were referring to the pain killer not narcotics), if you dont eat enough them you liver has to try to absorb it out of your blood stream because you didnt have enough food to absorb it, normally causing a pain in you upper stomach. Being really hot and sweaty is another concern however, chances are you were taking tylenol or ibuprofen or something on the same level, the possible cause for feeling hot and sweaty is that your internal body level actually did lower, and now your body is trying to regain heat so absorbing every bit of heat it can from the outside environment, and burning any other food you have at a faster rate to increase the internal heat, so though you are feeling hot on the outside it is just your body trying to raise its internal heat. normally pain from "road rash" or scrapes is not very easy to get rid of, the best thing you can do is but an aneseptic cream on it to try to numb it, were loose fitting clothes, sweatpants/shirts, and apply products like gold bond will help reduce friction which would cause further irratation. as far as your knee goes it was probably just an air pocket that had formed (kind of like what happens when you feel you have to crack your knuckles) so when u moved you were simply popping the air pocket relieving the pressure. there is a possibility that you popped a bursa sack, but if u did that you did that you would have what looks like a bubble forming around your patella, and probably a lot of pain. so, if your knee doesnt hurt anymore you are probably fine, however, if ur pain is still present i would go to a doctor because your knee can be very sensitive and damage to your ligaments such as acl pcl or mcl which can be very serious. as far as everyone else saying possible internal bleeding....well it is possible but acetaminophen would have thinned out your blood so much you probably would have had what looked like huge bruises forming around the site of the damaged organ, and probably would have lost soo much blood you would have passed out by now....so that is not very probable by any stretch of the imagination.Health Question & Answer

you may have a concussion, and the amphetamine is NOT helping - it is just making it hard to diagnose.

also, there are times when one hurts so much ( like after breaking a bone) that you are nauseated for days.Health Question & Answer

Dude get to a doctor. Call 911! I hope you get better =)Health Question & Answer

Too many meds, they will tear up you stomach and make you feel sick. You may have also damaged internal organs. Get to the doctor asap, if your having that hard of a time with the pain it isn't worth risking farther injury by not having it check out. Put Neosporin on the road rash, it helps heal, stay off infection and cuts down on pain.

Used to race a YZF 426, plenty of hospital stay, ambulance rides and 1 life flight. My sister is a doctor, and has seen a lot of internal injuries not get treated in time and things got worse. Better safe than sorry.

Those little bikes get everyone hurt, nobody takes them serious enough because they are so little. I have a few scares from 50's myself. Got hurt on a pit bike after and endro race in Mexico. Couldn't believe it, 150 miles in 6th gear and then broke my back riding a 50 to get a hot dog.

Good luck, get checked out by a doctor ASAP, don't stop riding life is to short not to be spent on two wheels. Health Question & Answer
