ok so i got my belly piercing about 6 months ago and its always been giving me trouble.. ive already asked a question on how i can help it finally heal. i clean it everyday more than twice with the saline solution and in the shower i cover it so non of the body wash infects it (thats what the piercer said, to cover the piercing so nothing infects or irritates it) and i also use anti bacterial bar soap AND sea salt in warm water.. i cant take my piercing out because its still pussing on the bottom and the internet says not to take it out if its still pussing cause i can get an abscess. So... heres the confusing part ..under the bottom of the piering is this weird bump with a white thing in the middle.. is it possible i have an abscess with my belly piercing still in.? or is it just part of the infection.?.?.? please helpHealth Question & Answer

yes, it sounds like it still infected and could have asmall abscess next to it. best show it to a plastic surgeon who will properly take care of it and once the infection is controlled, can reinsert the ring.
IT IS BEST TO WASH THE AREA TWICE A DAY WITH AN ANTISEPTIC SOAP. COVERING IT UP CAUSES THE INFECTION TO SPREAD. DO NOT COVER IT UP. SHOWERS OR WHIRLPOOLS WITH SOAP ARE THE BEST TREATMENT.

Yep you can. For a number of reasons. You could be allergic to the metal. You could just be getting dirt in your belly in between cleanings. You play with it a lot and oil from you hands get it reinfected all the time.Health Question & Answer

It doesn't sound like you have an abscess. Depending on the size of the bump, it might be just a pimple, or it could be a keloid (another piercing side effect). Health Question & Answer
