How do I treat a chemical burn?!

Question: How do I treat a chemical burn.?
I burnt myself on bleach earlier [I have a sensitivity to it - so I wore gloves, but ended up getting a burn on my wrist.] I originally assumed that the redness on my wrist was just irritation to the bleach, but now the skin is cracked and blistering.

I've had burns before, both second and third degree burns and know how to care for the burn. I've never had a chemical burn though and was wondering if it's treated the same way, or is there something specific I need to do where it's a chemical burn.

Thanks! Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Simple enough to treat :D
Remove from the chemical (which you did )
Wash in copious amounts of water .. If it is still red and inflamed in am call your DR . Yes I know it is a holiday but they have Dr's on call for this purpose ... Chemical burns are then cared for the same way as any other burn keep clean and dry you can apply an ointment such as neosporin to help heal it .. Change your bandages through out the day or as they get soiled ;)Health Question & Answer
