i dont have a fever. i have slight pain in my throat , it doesnt hurt when im not swallowing or talking. it only hurts a little when i swallow...so you think i have strep.?Health Question & Answer

Not possible to tell unless you have a throat culture. Sometimes allergic reactions & viruses cause sore throats. Strept. is usually with fever & more pain. My advice is that if it continues to get worse over the next 3 days - see a doctor. Otherwise stay away from people and use good hand washing so you don't spread it around. Probably a viral throat infection, it may go away in a few days. Strep throat is a bacteria called streptococcus it will hurt when you talk, swallow, breath, blink an eye. but a minor pain usually isnt anything serious probably just swollen lymph nodes located under your jaw. if it persists for more than 3-7 days you should see a doctor. so i would make an appointment now and go from there.Health Question & Answer
doesn't sound like it. Strep hurts like hell, nonstop. also sometimes you get a pressure headache, which is when it feels like someone is pushing on your head. I've had strep, well, at least twice a year, every year.

Go to a dr and get antibiotics and culture done,honey and lemon in warm water,gargle with warm salt water,avoid milk durring this time it will only help for a few seconds but you'll be paying for it later.Health Question & Answer
I've had strep 20 times and every time I get it, i wake up in the middle of the night feeling like my throat is on fire and it is so swollen that it hurts to breath. You probably have a bug. Health Question & Answer
