Question: I am now receiving SSDI. I receive no SSI. I've been told by some.?
that if I accumulate savings in an account that Social Security can dock my check or reduce the payment. Is this true.? I have received 14thou in back pay and its in my account. Can they use this against me now to reduce my monthly payment.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It shouldn't effect your monthly check from SSDI. But if you are getting food stamps or state medical then you might loose these benefits. Those are based on financial need and with all that money in the bank they would tell you that you had no need.
