Answers:
there is pain medicine MUCH stronger than the OTC medicine. Sometimes I have to take mentral pain pills prescribed by the doctor because I am unable to function.....I usually puke for a couple days. The doctors will give you something for the back pain..please go. If one doesn't believe you, go to emergency. They'll help you then!!!Health Question & Answer

First of all, 800mg of Advil every 4 hours is crazy- There is other pain medications that can be prescribed for your kind of pain. Secondly- you should talk with your doctor about getting on an anti-inflammatory to help reduce the inflammation in your back. That will tremendously help. You may just need that and a muscle relaxer. Don't ask for stuff like Vicoden, its addictive, and is only a temporary fix to your problem. Do not listen to the person above.Health Question & Answer

Here are a few sites that can help you with the back pain. Good luck

and here is a really good article that is well worth reading

And for the answers that say don't take pain meds if your doctor gives them to you,,, they don't have the slightest idea of what they are talking about,,, pain will impact your health far more than just the pain after a while,,, so go to the doctor and forget what anyone here says,, your doctor is the only one that can really help you,,, the links can just help with the pain,,, not the causeHealth Question & Answer
