Yes a concussion should be treated as a medical emergency. Bleeding into or around the brain may occur even if unconsciousnes does not occur. Anyone that has had a blow to the head should always be watched for symptoms of brain damage which could be vomiting, unequal pupils, memory loss, seizure like activity or weakness on one or the other sides of the body.

It's hard to say but blows to the head can be very serious.
I'm not trying to scare you or anything but I know somebody who fell and hit her head while rollerblading. She didn't think anything of it and went home and went ot bed. Turns out she had fractured her skull and died in her sleep.Health Question & Answer

yes! i had a concussion a year ago. we thought it was nothing. we didnt even no it was a concussion. we just knew it was a posibilty. and no what.? it turned out to be major and it screwed up meh visionHealth Question & Answer
