My fiance fell & I think he has a concussion?!

Question: My fiance fell & I think he has a concussion.?
This morning my fiance fell on the ice & hit his head on the car. I think he has a concussion. He refused to go to the doctor. I called him every couple hrs today to make sure he was awake. Tonight when I got home from work he was really confused. What questions do I ask a person with a concussion to make sure they are still ok & that he doesn't need medical treatment.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
If he is exhibiting signs of confusion, if he is lethargic or groggy, etc these are all signs that he needs to make his way to the ER immediately. Observe him! You know him probably the best so you know what is normal and not normal in regards to his behavior. If he starts acting differently, gets real sleepy, lethargic, starts complaining of a headache, etc he needs medical care asap!!!Health Question & Answer

My daughter had a severe head injury following a car accident, where she was ejected from the car on her head.

At the trauma unit, they just asked simple questions. What's your name, do you know where you are.? What day is it. What year is it. With the severity of my daughters injury, the nurse woke her every 10-15 minutes. As the hours passed and she didn't get any worse, the nurse waited 1-2 hours. After 24 hours, they let her sleep for 2-3 hours before waking her. After 48 hours the neurologist told us she was out of danger of anymore bleeding in her head.

I must add too, that my daughter's whole right side of her head was caved in. She had severe depressions and a basilar skull fracture, along with a broken neck.

Just wanted you to know, how much it takes to do serious damage.

Tonight if you're worried about hubby, wake him a couple of times

Does your husband have any other symptoms of a concussion.? Nausea and vomitting are usually present with a head injury.
