Question: Cat bit my wrist, now its really painful to move [pics included].?

My cat bit my arm realllllly hard to the point I bled a lot today. I was tickling his stomach, and he went nuts and bit the crap out of my wrist. Now it really hurts to bend/move. When I bend my hand backwards, it has a sharp pulling pain in my wrist. I have 2 bite holes, and you can actually see down IN them they are so deep! Before I go to the ER, I just wanted to show a few pics to everyone to see what they think. I would also like to add that its very swollen & is still swelling. Thank you in advance!

Answers:

Wash with soap and water thoroughly - saliva has a lot of bacteria in it. Then put a triple antibiotic on it such as Neosporin and cover with a band-aid or bandage. If you start having any drainage, odor, etc you need to go see your doctor or if you can't get in with your doctor go to a walk-in clinic. this sounds terrible but it works...squeeze it till it bleeds alittle or oozes clear stuff..a couple of times wiping it off in between it doen't have to release a lot just enuf to flush the wound...then fill the hole with Neosporin...i'm a groomer so this is standar for minor puncture woundsHealth Question & Answer

wash it really good, then put hydrogen peroxide on it to get infection out (if any) then neosporin. check on it in a day or so, if its still not better, go see a doc.Health Question & Answer
