A spinal fusion is a surgical procedure that is performed to put two or more vertebrae together. If there are issues with the vertebrae, Doc may recommend a spine fusion to get rid of any imperfections that may deal with that part of the spine. Putting together the vertebrae like puzzle pieces, your doctor is trying to get rid of the pain that comes from the source of the back. Resulting in back recovery and a lot of pain killers, Vicodin, Percocet and/or Codeine.
