What has happened to my Back?!?!

Question: What has happened to my Back.?!.?
Okay...this is a little strange. Well to me it is. Anyway at school today we were doing weight training. And i was on the squad press, and my teacher was like "you HAVE to do 180 ibs!" So i put 180 ibs on the bar and i did 6 squads. On the 7th one, something pop/snap/moved in my spine. And it hurt...A LOT! But that happened 11 hours ago, and now its just killing me. I can't sit straight, i can't stand up straight. What happened.?Health Question & Answer

Go to the ER! At the very least, call your doctor's office. There's a doctor on call that you'll be able to talk to, but they'll probably tell you to go to the ER anyway

I don't know what might have happened to your back, but if you're in that much pain and can't sit or stand up straight you really should go. You DEFINITELY need to go to the ER if you're having any numbness or tingling at all, if you're having any problems going to the bathroom or if your feet or toenails start to get a bluish or purplish tinge. Any of those things could mean that whatever it is is doing something to your spinal cord.

You might have a slipped disk or you might have torn a muscle in your back. The only way to know is to have someone check it out. Better to find out for sure and not risk permanent damage by trying to sleep or continuing to walk around. At the very least, they can make you more comfortable than you are right now. How are you going to do anything, even sleep, if you don't.?Health Question & Answer

Back injuries are nothing to ignore and hope they go away.. if you wait too long and it turns out you're physically injured you'll be that way for the rest of your life because after X time passes most doctors won't touch you for fear of making the injury worse

Get it checked out.. you may have misaligned your hips. Is your torso area deformed at all.? Put your hands on your hips.. do they feel 'right'.?

Really, it sounds like something more serious than a simple pulled muscle or a cramp.. get yourself checked out as soon as you can or risk being f'd for life. Health Question & Answer

Go see a doctor for sure. something may have actuall popped/snapped/moved in your spine that could cause a problem. they may just send you to a chiropractor or something. also, learn how to do the squat press correctly before doing it againHealth Question & Answer

If it was your spine, your vertebra was inevitably involved and you'll probably need to see a chiropractor if the pain doesn't die down by tomorrow.Health Question & Answer
