Question: What does it mean if you're running a low temperature--between 95.8 and 96.8.? .?
I feel lousy today and I'm running a low temperature--about 95.8. What does that mean.? Or is it ok to run below 98.6.?Health Question & Answer

Hypothyroidism can cause low body temperatures. My normal temp is 96.9-97.0. I feel like crap when I'm at 98.6..that's like a slight fever for me lol.
also, if it's an oral thermometer make sure you aren't drinking/eating anything hot or cold 30 minutes before taking it, and don't smoke right before taking your temp. It can cause false readings.
Ear thermometers actually give me higher readings. Oral temp for me is usually 97. Ear temp is usually 98.8. (When the ear thermometer says 100.8, my oral temp is only 99.5 which isn't very high anyways)...
Temps are hard to use to diagnose things unless it's above 100.4-101
