TMI question? Strange bump on my inner thigh and extreme pain?!

Question: TMI question.? Strange bump on my inner thigh and extreme pain.?
At 14 weeks pregnant I had a lump on my inner thigh, it was really red and came up off my leg about a quarter of an inch. The doctor said it was a boil. The doctor said to leave it alone and it'd go away. It has gone away now, but there's still an ugly purple mark where it was. Then about two weeks ago, I got another one on the other thigh, a little higher up and it actually popped and there was a lot of blood, with a little pus in it. Now there's an ugly purple mark there, and suddenly there's a new one even higher up, right where the leg of my underwear sits on the inside of my thigh. This one hurts a lot more than the other two and it seems to be getting bigger and bigger every day. It started out about half an inch in diameter and a quarter inch raised off my skin, but now in just three days it's about an inch and a half long and about half an inch raised. The bump is really hard and hurts like nothing I've felt before. Is this still a boil.? What causes boils.? Are my clothes too tight.? I'm 21 weeks pregnant and my baby bump sticks out pretty far so it's hard to get a good look at this bump down there. Any ideas about what I can do to help with the pain.? Or to make it go away.?

Thanks in advance!Health Question & Answer

Boils occur when bacteria get under the skin and set up for infection. they often occur in areas where we shave or where there is rubbing because it allows an opening under the skin. We are seeing more MRSA caused boils in the office. try first with warm soaks and encouraging the area to drain. If redness spreads you will need an antibiotic and possible surgical draining of the wound.Health Question & Answer

It sounds like you may have increased friction & moisture in the area due to the extra weight from your pregnancy. You need to cleanse the area several times a day with a really mild natural soap, dry well & apply a little baby powder. Dab some tea tree oil on the boils or on a bandaid & stick over the boil...change several time a day...or get someone to do it for u as your baby bump grows. Wear cotton underwear & sit outside in the sun each day to let the area air.Health Question & Answer
