i just had my tonsils out 3 days ago & was in the hospital for 2 nights coughing up blood. i was on morphine it was that bad and now im on penadine fort .. how much longer is the pain going to lastHealth Question & Answer

How old are you.? I was 26 when I had mine taken out and it's true the older you are the harder it is on you. The pain lessoned each day, but lasted for a few weeks. I did find that the easiest thing to eat was....Spaghetti Os....no wonder I can't stand them now, I ate them breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just make sure you are drinking lots of water to keep your throat moist and to keep you hydrated. Good luck to you and there is hope to being pain free :)Health Question & Answer
Maybe about 2 more days with pain. Then you shouldn't feel much after that! Hope you feel better(:
