Agreed 100% with first answer. My husband suffers from these about once every year or two. He can still keep fit though:
First he now gets his shoes professionally fitted. It is more expensive, but the shoes are so much better it seems worth it. Second, when he has them, he does NOT run, but exercises in other ways, eg cycling, until he feels better. Three he tries not to run on concrete, and if he must run on concrete he uses shoes that are designed for hard impact.
The treadmill is also really good alternative, if it is a good quality one.Health Question & Answer

Get some more appropriate shoes, and quit jogging / running! And instead of listening to whoever "someone" is, go to a doctor who knows and can advise you! That IS what they're trained for, you know!Health Question & Answer
