my father is havinga tough time with dementia, he is 77 years old.
can anyone suggest a pracitce or technique to help him keep his mind sharp.?

Ken, that's sad! But you are a wonderful son for caring!!! Try crossword puzzles with your dad. And, "regular" puzzles are good, too. (Not the really tough ones; just try something simple!) also, scrapbooks from "days gone by" are always handy. After my dad's stroke, he might not remember peoples' names, but he loved looking at their pictures!!Health Question & Answer
Exersise is the greatest exersize for the mind (it's not a matter of opinion either studies have shown this.) I'm sure getting a good daily exersise routine in his day will help slow the progression of dementia.
