Question: Is there really such a thing as getting too much sleep.?
I typically get 6-8 hours of sleep and I'm okay. Last night I slept like 12 hours and I feel completely exhausted today and cannot wake up!Health Question & Answer

Yes. It's best to get at least two hours of sleep before midnight. It's also good to sleep the same hours every day. If you must nap during the day keep it a short one (20 min - half an hour tops!).

You can sleep too much which leaves you feeling worse then if you didn't sleep at all. Most likely you didn't sleep well last night ergo you slept longer but still did not get actual rest.

Yes and NO, if you are on drugs or drink too much you are probably sleeping too much unless you have a bad coke and acid habit then you are not getting enough sleep. Your body internally knows when you are getting enough sleep and will take care of that need no matter what. Some people require more sleep than others so don't listen to what everybody says about 8hrs. some require more some less.Health Question & Answer
That is a relative answer depending on who you ask. I think that maybe if you slpt too much you might need to eat eventually. Don't forget to the number one human need is to feel in cotrol. As says Maslows hierarchy of needs. So I would assume you might get really depressed.Health Question & Answer
yes there is. Your sleep cycle is about 8 hours long. So if you sleep longer than that, the cycle with start to repeat itself. If you wake up in the middle of the sleep cycle then you will have that :tired feeling"Health Question & Answer
