Are stress and back problems related?!
Question: Are stress and back problems related.?
I am only a sophomore in high school (15 years old) and I have a serious back issue. My back hurts all the time, and today something emotionally happened that was really serious at school. My back started to feel really loose after 10 minutes from when this thing occurred. Later on, my back got really stiff and hurt just to stand up straight. Is there a relationship between these two things, or is there a coincidence.? Is it normal to have back pains like this at this young age.? Is stress a big factor to my back problem.? Thank you for your help and time.Health Question & Answer
Answers:
It's not normal. You should definitely talk to your parents about it. The origination of the pain may be something other than stress and stressful situations are aggravating it. Talk to your parents about this.
Back pain can be caused by stress. The stress transfers to muscle tension, which can then cause pain.
Even if it is just stress, you may need physical therapy to teach you how to relax the muscles and stretch them out. Talk to your parents.Health Question & Answer

Could be. When I get stressed, I get stiffness in my neck and shoulders. You should really see a doctor so he could check your back. You don't want to strain it in gym class and make it worse.Health Question & Answer
