Question: Im a recovered mild anorexic but an old colleague today said my face is "chubby" i kinda feel crapy now.?
ive been recovered for a good 6 months and felt very good for getting back to a healthy weight, bur today i went in to my old work, and i said do you remember me cos we werent really close at work and she said yeh but your face is chubby now. i thought it was quite spiteful because at the time i worked there i was a normal weight and im back tio that same weight now as i was when he knew me, and i look the same...it kinda makes me feel really horrible and fat now even though i know im not...

how can i stop myself feeling like this..i really dislike her now, and shes quite large herself

I agree with Track II.. My mom always envies my "youthful" face because as she says, the older you get the more saggy and hollow your cheeks get! I can relate to wanting a slimmer face but at the end of the day I love mine. I've received lots of compliments about having good "cheekbones" which is really just fullness of the face ;) and of course face shape has nothing to do with BMI or overall weight.

Don't let this make you relapse, please! Love yourself. People who say things like that probably do it out of insecurities. It was just a rude thing for the lady to say, so you know she must have some issues herself.Health Question & Answer

I think you'll be ok. .
You know, I am naturally thin. . & you know what.? I hate it. .
I wish I could be a bit bigger, then I'd feel a bit better about myself. .
That was mean of her ...& wrong. . if she's bigger than you what she said makes no sense. .
You may dislike her. . stay away from her if she makes you feel bad. .
Your bmi is not bad. . keep recovering & best of luck. Health Question & Answer

Why didn't u turn around and tell her that she has gained a lot of weight since u last saw her. You are lucky to have a chubby face - I would love to have one! I work with a girl here in my office and she has a chubby face and she is absolutely beautiful - no wrinkles - no sagging - just really pretty! Be proud of your chubby face - you will later on in life be happy when you have no wrinkles!Health Question & Answer

I doubt it.
Plus you posted another question with a pic of you in it.
YOU DO NOT HAVE A CHUBBY FACE.

I remember I went to see my grandmother when I was anorexic once.
She said my "cheeks where swollen" and then said maybe you've just "gained weight" when if anything I had lost even more weight to my already extremely underweight body.

Don't listen to her, people are just rude and don't know what they're saying.Health Question & Answer

that's really unfortunate. i know how you feel..... she may honertle be jealous if you are thinner than she is. i read an article once that said women sometimes cut down prettier women by saying insensitive things to make themselves feel prettier. it's unfortunate....Health Question & Answer

Like you said, you weren't very close.
So what she said should go in one ear and out the other.
Don't even give this thought the time of day.
You know you are healthy. Please stay well. Good Luck.
