can u spoil your eyesight wearing someone else glasses?

Question:

Answer:
Of course you can. Only use glasses that are prescribed for you.! you can do your eyes more damage.!!! its like any prescription its tailored just for you.!!!
Yes. It may strain your eyes and damage your eyesight
Yep
YES.
yes because they are the wrong perscription for your eyes so will cause strain on your eyes.
yes
yes because they were prescribed for them and not you get your eyes tested and get your own glasses
Yes! They have been prescriped for that individual not you! Its the same as taking medicine that hasn't been prescribed for you!
Im not sure you would do them any good but I think if it was a emergancy the most you would get is a bad head.
yea i think so ive been told a few times not 2 try on other peoples glasses as there especially designed for other peoples eyes! thats why there ther! i wouldnt risk doin eyes ne damage if they are perfect!!
Yes, if more more than a few minutes. Your eyes will become strained by trying to focus with the incorrect prescription. You will get a headache and if you wear them for long enough your eyes may become accustomed to that prescription and then no longer be able to focus correctly without glasses.
Yes, and give yourself a headache for good measure.
yes
yes, if you wear it longer than a few minutes. I would not recommend wearing them and testing how long it takes. For all I know maybe it does have an instant effect... but I doubt that.
yes....wearing an incorrect prescription can force the eyes to adapt to that way of seeing, cause eyestrain, and headaches. The eye is a set of muscles, just like the rest of the body (in a sense) If you "work out" your eye incorrectly, it can cause problems.....if its an image thing you can get blank lenses.....if its a vision thing go see the eye doctor....good luck riff
yes presciptions are individual
Yes
opticians say that wearing someone elses glasses can damage your eyes if you wear them for long periods of time. glasses are prescribed for individual people by optical tests according to their eyes, so by wearing someone elses you risk eye strain, headaches and possibly even permanent damage. any optician would tell you that.
yeah
Oh yeah it can be damaging to your eyes the glasses could be a strong prescription for someones who's eyes are really bad and this can cause really bad headaches for you, its the sames as taking some one elses medication
It depends, if you did it for a long time (ie: days, weeks) then probably yes as they'll become accustomed to the lenses, even then I wouldn't be convinced the damage would be permanant, but otherwise you'll just strain your eyes a bit and they'll ache a lot along with your head.
ofcourse if prolonged use but if just trying on no even i someone has similar lense as you it wont be the same and can cause strain and weeking your own sight further so not a very wise thing to do really
No, but you need a formal eye test and if necessary, glasses appropriate to your own visual defect or you will not get good results.
yes
i guess you can i put peoples glasses on and now i cant see a thing
Yes, If the glasses are not prescribed and tested at least once a year. Good Luck!
Yes, Yes, Yes.
Wearing a different prescription than the one prescribed for you can strain the eyes. Carefull!!
yes you can so never wear anyones but your own.
yes
yes
everybody is saying yes,BUT your old glasses that get recycled to the third world might suit some poor old sole that needs glasses,so it is yes/no situation, using some ones Else's glasses for short time will not harm your eye sight as long as it is to read or sign documents and they or more less the same prescription
