Dizziness When Getting out of Bed?

Question:
I was just wondering if anyone else has ever felt a similar sensation. Sometimes (actually, a lot of times) when I get out of the bed in the morning (like, sit up really fast, then hop off my bed), everything goes black. I'll have a few seconds of sight, balance, ect..., and then I'll be like "Ohp, here it comes", and Everything will go black (and I'll almost get faint feeling) for a second or two. Sometimes when I sit up more slowly, this does not happen.
Has anyone else experienced this and/or is it a problem. Is there a name for it?

Also, please don't tell me I "should check it out with my doctor" unless you really think so. Sometimes I think that people just throw it out, but it really is easier said than done.

Answer:
I know you don't want to hear this, but you really should go to the doctors. You could be hypoglycemic (have lower than normal blood sugar) which may not sound serious but is. If this is what you have, you could go into a coma overnight or even die in a worse case situation. This is a easily controlled disease most of the time, but can be very dangerous if left untreated. Please, get yourself checked out.
It's a change in your blood pressure and circulation from getting up too fast. Sounds simple, but the answer is really, to do it slowly and give your system time to adjust.
try driking more water throughout the day. make sure you get up slowely after stretching in bed.
Ummmm Go see a doctor. You think its normal that this happens to you? Does this happen to everyone? Ummmm No! The reason you should see a doctor is because this may be the start of something really bad. More than likely its the blood rushing to your head when you get up, but if its only when you get up, then you may have a circulation problem when you are lying down, which you need to get checked right away my dear. Don't be brave and not get it checked, cause its only you that you will be foolin. Go get it checked and hope that its nothing, if it is something, then you can thank me and yourself for going. Good Luck!
That happen's to me alot, don't know the cause of it exactly,it's probably because the blood rushes to your head to quickly.
I've had this too. I am told it's a result of low blood pressure, which is not neccesarily a bad thing. You might just check your blood pressure, but I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Keep in mind that i'm not a doctor though.
It can be a lot of things. It can be blood pressure, low blood sugar or even vertigo,or even an inner ear infection. If dizziness comes on suddenly and is accompanied by chest pains, a rapid heartbeat, blurred vision or numbness, see a doctor immediately.
This kind of dizziness could signal a heart attack or stroke.
If can even be side effect from a medication.
I hope this will help you out.
well u dont have to go to the doctor cuz the same excact thing happened to me. the doctor told me that i was dehydrated and that my heart was working harder or something like taht. well, just drink more water and see if it works.
Your just getting up too fast. It happens to a lot of people because they have been laying down for so long and then they get up quickly and all the blood rushes down. Yes, just always wake up slow because this does help. Just don't hop out of bed. It is too much too fast for your body. God bless you and wake up slow!
