Contact lenses. Are they damaging my vision?
Question:
I took them out during the day today and i wasn't happy at all.
My eyesight is so bad!
So my question is, are contact lenses damaging my regular vision?
Honestly though, i am concerned at how bad my vision is without lenses in, but i feel my eyesight may just seem really bad as i am use to being able to see now. I'm not making excuses for them, but seriously... are they bad for my eyes?
Help me.
Tom
Answer:
contact lenses nor glasses damage your eyes by wearing them. You are just noticing a large change from blurry vision to clear vision
You have to focus differently with them, its not just looking through a glass lense anymore. Give it a while and your eyes will adapt. Also if its a pins and needles feeling put in a few drops of salene (only if yours doesn't say, do not drop in eye) or take out your lenses and soak them for a while then put them back in.
You must be nearsighted.
NO,contacts will not hurt your vision anymore than wearing glasses will provided that they are fitted properly and maintained properly.
Wearing contacts isn't damaging your vision per se... no more than wear glasses.
I use to wear contacts a few years ago.... but I found that they were a bit uncomfortable at times.
My vision is really poor... 20/400! A few months ago I started doing the exercises to try to improve my vision. I created a blog where I record my progress with the exercises.
I recently saw some improvement. Other people (who have also experienced improvements) have posted comments about their experiences as well. You can check it out at: http://improvingmyeyesight.com/blog...
