Contact lens, is it safe for sea water?

Question:
i will be embarking on a snorkling trip, just wonder if contact lens is fine for the activities, or a power mask a better option?

Answer:
No, do not wear them in sea water, they will virtually get stuck to ur eyes.
depends if there water proff contacts
but theres always a chance of salt water
getting into your eyes and they will dry
out and turn red and become irratated
possibly burn also
Why are you wearing contact lenses.
Do not go into sea water with contact lens on:
1) Sea water has more salt than our natural tears
a) This will make your contact lens loose water to the sea (osmosis)
b) Therefore the lens will shrink
c) Therefore it will become loose and will float out
2) Better option is "prescription swimming goggles"
a) You get them ready at sports shops in approximate powers like -1.00, -2.00, -3.00
b) approximate is good enough for our needs under water
