My medication got stuck in my throat?!
Question: My medication got stuck in my throat.?
Is it possible for a WHOLE capsule to be stuck in the throat for over an hour without dissolving and releasing the medication.?
It's a small capsule, so I felt a discomfort. It wasn't too bothersome in my throat so I forgot about it for an hour. The problem is I'm not sure when I should take my second dose. I think at least part of it was stuck in my throat before I decided to gulp down some water.

Don't worry. The medication will be absorbed whether it's in your stomach or lodged in your throat. Actually, you probably did swallow the medication eventually and it just got stuck a little in your throat. The feeling that it's still there can last a little while. Take your next dose on schedule. Hint: Before taking the pill have a few sips of water. This will make it easier for the pill to slide down. And drink a full glass of water when taking the pill. Don't gulp!Health Question & Answer
I wouldn't think so. you may have just bruised your throat a little bit from it being stuck for a while. if it is is still uncomfortable just goggle with a little warm salt water and that will make it (the feeling of uncomfortable) go away. Go head and take your meds as scheduled. hope you get better.Health Question & Answer
